TeamDamage is a computer LAN (Local Area Network) gaming event where computer gamers and enthusiasts get together to have fun in multiplayer computer games either socially or within organised individual or team competitions. More information about our origins can be found here.
Please check the LAN page for our next location
TeamDamage LANs are held approximately every 6 weeks to 2 months throughout the year. They are usually held on Sundays from 10am until 10pm. Specific dates and times are usually released closer to the event, with a big mail out being sent to everyone and a news post on the main page.
Entry to the TeamDamage LAN is $20 for the entire day ($15 if you pre-pay on the website). That gets you table space to set up your computer, a chair, network port to connect you up to everyone else and it also entitles you to free entry into any and all competitions you’d like to play in on the day.
You will need to bring your own computer system, including a network card and a cat5 network cable so you can join the network, a power board to plug your gear into and a set of headphones with a microphone (TeamDamage will usually run a Teamspeak server during the LAN for participants to talk to each other easily in-game).
The TeamDamage schedule allows 1 hour for lunch, during which participants have the opportunity to go get some food. McDonalds, KFC etc. is just a short drive away.
At every TeamDamage event we organise something for people to get invovled in. This usually takes form of a "Team Player LAN Style event" but also may just be an organised muck-around game.
Team Player LAN style events are very popular and usually consist of the whole LAN voting for captains, those captains picking their teams, and then all hell breaks loose when each team battles to defeat the other in whatever game has been selected by the admins. These competitions are very popular, the whole LAN participating is not uncommon. Please see our Next LAN page to find out whats running at the next event and when.If you want to come to the next TeamDamage event, please go to the registration page and let us know you are coming in advance. This helps us to make sure we have enough space, network equipment and refreshments to cater to everyone. If you dont register in advance you may miss out on lunch or space for your computer if we dont have enough to go around.
