Registrations have now opened for the next TeamDamage LAN to be held on Sunday July the 4th.
With Uni PLUS School holidays happenning at this time and with registrations already flooding in, we could be in for a massive event so it'll be one not to miss.
This time around we'll be running two 3-hour "Mini Marathon" competitions throughout the day. The first will be for new game Battlefield Vietnam which has been gathering some momentum. The second will be the old skool Quake3, which always gets a following and will provide a fix for those die-hard old Quakers (like me).
We'll also be running a 4 vs 4 CounterStrike competition to keep the masses happy and a 4 vs 4 Unreal Tournament 2004 Onslaught competition, another new game which has been turning heads over the last month or two. Season 2 of the Clan League will thus conclude this LAN, with the Soul Doctors having a seemingly unnassailable lead, but fierce competition for 2nd and 3rd place rankings should make for some interesting games. Talent scouts will no doubt be active in preparation for the start of Season 3, so even if you're not in a Clan already, throw a team together on the day and get yourself noticed.
Far Cry is another game which has been getting some interest lately and we'll be giving that a run in the evening, plus there should be plenty of other public games on offer throughout the day such as Warcraft3, Americas Army and Call of Duty - so whatever you like, there should be something to sink your teeth into.
As usual we'll be providing the complementary sausage sizzle for lunch and will have bacon & egg breakfast plus a pizza run for dinner organised, all so you can LAN all day while barely leaving your seat.
This could well be our biggest event for the year, so get down to the Wollongong PCYC and get into it !
