Greetings TDers

Well another TD has been and gone. Much gaming was had and many people were fraged – life is good. Attendance was down on previous events with only 25 of the rego’ed 36 people turning up (36 rego’s include those that were coming with other people but rego’ed as one person on the site). We are pleased that despite a few networking issues related to peoples PC’s the day went off with out any technical glitches. We would like to thank those that helped with the set up and pack up and those that traveled down from Sydney to help make the event. Also congratulations to Ticket 74 Robert (stbrob) for taking home the lucky door prize of the gift certificate to JB HI-FI.

Unfortunately the TPL games were both slightly one sided. Both the TF 2 and the Quake 3 CTF were dominated by one team. This has been the case the last 2 LANs. We feel it is due to the mix of new players who are not experienced enough in the games and having people who play in competitive teams online. We will find ways to even the games up in the future as we feel close competitive gaming is a key feature of what we do. On the other hand the Starcraft II games were a close battle. There were 3 Starcraft II teams with each team ending up with a 1-1 record. Also many other Starcraft II games during the day were epic in their awesomeness with many a close battle to the end. Starcraft was by far the most popular game at the LAN and I am sure it will be for some month to come. For more information about the games played and not played take a look at the TD forums.

The next TD is planned for late November early December. For the next LAN we want to get the following set up.
1) Announcement before the LAN about game versions. (We had an issue with game version and punk buster version for COD4 which meant it was hard to get people in.)
2) We would like to encourage those that rego up to come.
3) Make the TPL games closer - they were in the past - resulting in close exciting and competitive gaming.

If you have any ideas on what you would like to see at your next TD then please let us know on the forums.

Until next time keep fraging spamin
